The Specs Experience

You see us write about “The Specs Experience” but what does that actually mean? Here at Specs, we don’t want shopping for eyewear to just be another chore on your to-do list, so we have to create a comfortable welcoming environment, with knowledgeable staff, to give you, our customers the experience of getting eyewear that you love and want to keep for years. 

What we sell

It’s in the name! We sell eyewear, all kinds, prescription glasses, non-prescription fashion glasses, readers, sunglasses, prescription sunglasses, eyewear retainers, cases, cleaner and cleaning cloth, everything eyewear. We carry a variety of brands through our four different stores, to give you a different but similar experience every time you go into one of our stores. Although the brands may be different, the comfortable atmosphere and knowledgeable staff are always the same! We want our customers to want to come back, not just because of what we sell, but because of what we do and the experience we provide. 

Customer Service

We are centered around customer service, if our customers aren’t satisfied with their eyewear, then neither are we. If you come in and find a frame you love, and want to make it into a custom sunglass, we can do that. Maybe you found a RayBan in a music video, we can order that in for you, to purchase or just to try on! Once you purchase from us, we still want to make sure everything is going well, with a follow-up text. If you ever need a readjustment, or repair in the future we are here to help! We want to be able to take care of all of your eyewear needs!

Picking out glasses

Picking out new glasses can be a bit stressful at times, and that’s why we’re here to help! Our knowledgeable Eyewear Specialists are here to help you every step of the way. You can try on as many frames as we offer in-store, and if you have a certain style in mind that you can’t quite find, let your eyewear specialist know! If we can find the style you like online, we can check and see if one of our other stores has it in stock, or we can order it for you to view. If you fall in love with a sunglass frame, but you’re needing prescription glasses, we can put your prescription lenses into a sunglass frame, and vice versa, we can put sunglass lenses into a prescription frame. 

Prescription vs. Non-Prescription

We sell plano (non-prescription) and prescription glasses, as well as plano and prescription sunglasses. You can get any of our frames, and put a plano, non-prescription lens in it, for regular sunglasses, and any prescription frames. If you’d like fashion glasses or blue blocker glasses without a prescription in them, we can do that for you. If you have a prescription, we highly recommend getting prescription glasses. Glasses can serve a purpose through fashion and function, so we want you to get the eyewear that works best for you, and your everyday needs. 

Pickup & Adjustment

If you get a pair of glasses from us, whether you buy a pair of sunglasses off the shelf, or you get prescription glasses that we send to the lab, we adjust your glasses for you. When you order a pair of glasses from us, we will text you when they are ready to be picked up (anywhere between five and ten days depending on your prescription). When you come in to pick up your new glasses, your Eyewear Specialist will adjust them to fit you, so your glasses can stay in place and not cause any pain or discomfort when being worn. It may take a couple of tries, but we want to make sure your eyewear fits you as perfectly as possible, and we’re happy to take the time to do so!

Warranty

When you get a new pair of glasses with us, they most likely come with a warranty, whether they’re prescription or non-prescription. If they are prescription glasses, the frame warranty, and the lens warranty aren't always the same. The frame warranty is dependent on the manufacturer of the frame and is generally a manufacturer defect warranty for one or two years. If your lenses are single vision, they automatically come with a one-year one-time scratch warranty, unless you decide to upgrade the anti-reflective coating, which would make it a one-time two-year warranty. If your lenses are progressive, they automatically come with a one-time two-year scratch warranty.
